My New Digs!

Winter semester is over and I survived it. To take my brother Brady's approach to school, I got a 4.0...... minus the C+ I got in stats and the B+ in NT...... close enough for me!( Is that a good attitude to take toward school?) Anyway with the end of the semester inevitably comes change. I moved out of King Henry apts. on Friday afternoon and I was homeless, actually living in my supposedly vacated apt., for the weekend until I could move into my new apartment at Campus Plaza on Monday. I actually lived out of my sister, Jana's, van for the weekend- I wish I had thought to take a picture but I didn't. I will say, though, that I felt like a boss driving around Provo in a minivan and after a weekend together, I wish that van was my own. So my new digs- CP. Campus Plaza is a dump- I knew this before I moved in though so all is well, but I think it will be a fun place to live for a semester. I am living with Katie and Kara and three girls we do not know, so it should be a blast. Along with a change of apartment I have also, sort of, changed working environments. I still work in the locker room in the mornings - from 8-12, but then I head over to the track office- the welcoming sign of which is pictured below. I am currently sitting in this new place of work, directly below the pictured sign on a fairly comfortable couch- I think I am going to like it here:)
Because no blog post is complete without at least one picture, you all get to see the beautiful sign I get to stare at all day, partly because it is what I stare at all day and partly because I am currently at work and do not have any other pictures and it was convenient to snap this picture with my phone. So, sorry not more interesting, but hey, a picture is a picture and I truly believe this one is worth a thousand words...you just have to dig really deep. Life is great!:) Enjoy it!

Dumb washers

As much of the general public already knows I work in the women's issue room at BYU. Basically I am a glorified laundress, so it is probably not surprising that a great deal of my time at work is spent doing laundry. Our washers are kind of nice and very big, but unfortunately they have this gap surrounding the circle opening where I throw clothes in and take them out. One morning I was switching some laundry from the washer to the dryer and my pinky slipped into that lame little gap and all but broke in half. In all seriousness my little pinky was probably sprained but all there was to show for it was the huge gouge out of my pinky pictured below.
For the record, though, I am not a baby crying over a little one time cut. I would not be mentioning this incident except for the fact that this is about the tenth time this washer has almost broken my little finger. I thought it was time to bring to light the hideousness that is hidden behind the domestic charade of the washing machine. I think my face adequately shows the pain I was in and the disgust I feel toward the machine that did this to me. The end. As a side note, this is an old injury and that piece of my finger has grown back, so besides this little rant all is well!

Movies!! Yay:)

For the past few months I have been taking pictures of things I wish to blog about, unfortunately I hav not posted any of them on my blog, so even though these things happened months ago i am still blogging about them(in the order they occurred for the readers ease and comfort:)) because I took the time to take the pictures! Also, I know the new fad is to blog cute pictures of your children, but I don't have any kids so if that is what you are here for then hop on over to my sisters blogs and look at adorable babies to your hearts content. Your time is actually probably better spent doing that because they have some pretty cute kids.

People in Utah may know that all of the blockbusters from Provo to Pleasant Grove went out of business a few months ago. Well I hit up their huge blowout sales and really increased my movie collection!!! To spare my mother a heart attack I will not say how much i spent on movies during the month of January....actually it wasn't even that much so don't worry about it, but it sure was fun!!! You can see a few of those new movies in these pictures, but the focus of the photos is my awesome Mary-Kate and Ashley movie collection!!!On dvd!!! All brand new!!! for only twenty dollars!!! yes, you heard that right. Eight brand new Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen movies for only twenty bucks and I just had to drive to Springville to get them! It was amazing and I love my new movies! And I do not really think these pictures provide an adequate sense of the awesomeness being portrayed, but at least the memory is immortalized, so fun!

This picture captures the moment on Wednesday night that had me laughing for seriously half an hour straight and then off and on for a few hours after that. My sister Jana was taking me home to Provo after babysitting at her house in PG. As the picture suggests we stopped for gas and Jana pulled up to the gas pump at least five feet away and didn't feel the need to get any closer. And to top it off there was a very confused woman trying to pull up to our pump while we were still there. I guess she didn't know that you could pump gas parked a mile away from the pump.

Also, this posts includes a picture at the request of my mother, who first of all didn't believe I would ever post on this blog again, and who told me the number one rule of blogging is that every post must include a picture.

The final amazing this about this post is that I totally got this picture off of my cell phone. I am not yet in the smart phone age and i am just amazed that my recent cell phone upgrade can actually send and receive pictures via text message. Yay! Life is definitely good!

Hello all!! If you are reading this you probably already know me, if not...wow, can you say creeper! but if you don't know me and you are not a creeper but are instead a fellow blogger/citizen then my name is Kelsey Robertson. Many are most likelt wondering why a nineteen year old working college student wants or needs a blog, and i really don't know, but I was sitting at work today, and having checked facebook multiple times, read every story on wonderwall...twice, and read the blogs of my siblings I still had half an hour to kill before my workday was over so, naturally, i decided to make the blogging world a little bit better by starting a blog of my own. Well i am off to my sociology class, but for interested readers stay tuned for more posts from me! Because it's my life!:)
